Taken near Kirkstone Pass in the Lake District.

This is just one of the many streams running down the mountain sides in the Lake District, lighting was a bit dull with some orange in the sky reflecting down on the water pool, the long exposure helped bring this out.

Thank the Heavens you showed up! Just been looking at the gallery and, with the very odd exception, was in utter despair at a lot of the dross that people have the audacity to post...

So...thanks for turning up and posting this shot! What can I say...? Sharp detail combined with great texture in the flow of the water and I especially like the big rock front left, it's a nice feature to have in the foreground. Realistic colours in the grass and rocks as well - lovely scene, well captured.

Very nice work Dean, I like the slow shutter speed on the water, and also the interesting rocks in the foreground.. nicely composed work.

Hi Dean,
Did you hide a lamp in the water? That golden light is just amazing. Love the way you composed the photo with the rapid nicely moving from top to bottom. Tjee, I am still amazed about the beautiful gold spot. Wonderful use of the slow shutter speed bringing out the movement of the water. Looks like you got a small hot spot in the center of the white wash. Did you use any filters?

Like your overall effect in this photo Dean and the long exposure, gives it that a soft texture, that seems to blend with the setting. Beautiful colors you caught in this.
