Cold miserable overcast day, took one shot whilst in Hawick.

Had a play and converted it.

the interesting work, sharp B&W are giving the charm to the entire photograph...

Hi Peter,
Nice shot and nice PP work, I like the details in the clock tower, I Like both this image and the WS and can't choose between them.
Well done

Hi Peter,

Very artistic and creative image! I think that the visual impact is greater than the original and your creative PP work, really made a difference! Well done!

Hi Peter, this has come out rather well. I think it would be more effective had the sky not be in parts blown but I'm impressed with the overall effect. It reminds me a little of Liverpool as depicted in the film Yellow Submarine! Nice work. Can you remember what you did to achieve this, I'd be interested to know.

Really nice work here peter, I love the effect brilliant actually as most of the detail is still very clear indeed.

I like the original too, but you really enhanced it with your PP work, Peter. Will look at your how-to.
Overcast skies can provide deep contrast and saturation, but you need a wee bit of sun ;o). Excellently processed. TFS

hello Peter,
this is first class.Love your PP work. You make the picture look like an engraving. I rather like Hawick's architecture anyway and you have done it justice. Passed through there recently and tried a shot of the old co-op but with little success.

Hello Peter !

Cool PP , making it almost a print ready for sale in the Tourists shops. I might have been tempted to keep the flags colored for more punch.

Image well composed with the emphaze on the threatening sky.
Cheers!
Robert

Hi Peter,

Wooo... this look awesome... I like the original shot even thought is not as nice as this one, this pp work is really kool! Well done,

Thanks for sharing

Cheers,
Sweety

Hi Peter,

This is good stuff...

Nice to be able to make something dramatic like this out of a shot that you might not have been entirely satified with due to poor conditions on the day.

I recall going to Hawick for a family holiday, more years ago than I care to remember, and this takes me back!

What do you think slight sepia tint might have done for it???

TFS

Nigel

Great Creation.
