Taken in the same area as YESTERDAYS POST only this time I feel the cvompositon is slightly better and the colours are a little more stronger in this, overall I prefer this one, but what do you think? Detailed notes are also iuncluded on yesterdays post.

PP resized, saturation and levels boosted, smart sharpen, and sharpening brush to bring out foreground details more, border and title to finish.

Hope you like.

Hi Dean,
the sky has been very well exposed for - though perhaps slightly under-exposing would give it an even more dramatic feel and/or mood - just a personal thought :-)

Well done. Best regards,
Daniel

excellent contrasts and colors, thank you for sharing

A really great shot Dean - rich, sharp and well exposed. A perfect example what the Lake district fells are actually like.

I've been looking at your other shots, and your website, and I have to say your portfolio is just stunning...You take the type of Landscapes images I aspire to. I have just upgraded to D200 so for me, the real effort to make something from it starts now.

Will look forward to pinching your ideas....er , I mean "taking some tips" from your work mate!

Thanks for posting.

Andy

I prefer this one Dean,It's sharper ,the eye is led into the photo more by the rocks and the little bit of blue sky makes it .Great photo.

Such a wonderful scenery, Dean. I like the the colors. The details are so fine. The patterns on the rocks make this image more interesting and beautiful. I also like the border design.

Hi Dean,
Great shot, I like the idea of the rocks in the foreground, good colours and sharpness, excellent POV I like the way the eye is led through the shot from the rocks on to the hills in the distance.

Hi Dean. I really like the mood of this one. The way your captured that sky with that exposure time is just great. Very impressive. TFS. Dany :-)

Hi Dean,
I agree with you on the composition and colors. The lighting did help to get more contrast and colors. I however prefer the sky of the previous. That bright spot is just a bit too bright. The rocks in the FG are better especially with the attraction of the lichens. This really looks like an area I need to see for myself.

P.S. Saw Mountains on BBC this past sunday. The Pennines look like a great mountain range as well. I am looking forward to the next one...Sowdownia.

Hi Dean,
good shot well composed with the stones in the foreground driving the eyes through the rest of the pic. Excellent colour range and exposure and you managed to get excellent details throughout!
Thanks and regards
Igor
