We had our summer yesterday, so captured a couple of images at North Berwick, back to winter today with torrential rain.

Hello Peter,

Yes, but doesn't it look great in the sun!

I'm amazed this shot hasn't received more attention! Great low pov which helps to produce a good composition. The gentle ripples and seaweed strewn rocks are good details. The sunlight on the clouds and the sea adds interest.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Nice shot here peter, I like the low POV you have used. there si a lot of good detail on the rocks which provide a good contrast to the vivid blue sky, (something we have not seen much of this year)!!!

Beautiful and simple. Just the way I like it! Great shot with excellent use of light. The rock in the far distance is a nice focal point to guide the eyes away from the background. Good compositional skill to craft this seascape. The foeground is kept interesting with the inclusion of the rocks. Very well done Peter.

Hi Peter,
I know this view. Good to have Bass Rock included in the photo. I haven't seen this area with such a great blue sky.

A lovely shot, good composition and POV, I think the only way it might be improved would have been to include more sky and bring the horizon down to 2/3 of the way down from the top. TFS, Les

A minimalistic shot so to speak, Peter... and a very attractive one. Some would say that centering the horizon doesn't work... LOL. No, I would not be one of them either. Sure, putting it on one of the 1/3rd horizontals works nice too, but sometimes centering is better.
I like the colours here: blue, grey & brown. I hope next year's summer will be better, despite the Belgian Meteo that keeps telling us it's a "normal summer". Yeah right! ;o)
