[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi, had some major problems with the computer today but hopefully all is well now, hence the reason for one of my older photos, almost 2 years.

This is my eldest daughter, Grace, the camera she's holding was my first serious camera (canon 300V, film) and I passed it down to her, she loves the camera and often comes out on shoots with me, and takes a very keen interest in all things photography. Anyway's this was taken at Edinburgh Zoo in september 2005.

Hope you like.

Fun to see the sun on her nose. Well composed with nice colors.

Oh Dean, what a BEAUTIFUL looking child, Grace looks a sweetheart.

This is a lovely sharp image, with nice lights, good to see she is taking after her Daddy.. with her photography.

Thanks for sharing.

Regards
Dawn

Hi Dean,
Nice shot of a budding young photographer, I like the POV the colours the pose and the blurred background, the only thing that bothers me on this is the bright spot of light on her nose and upper lip that you could have PP to tone down a little, then maybe if you computer is not playing ball this might not be possibe, anyway nice to meet Grace and maybe onday she will join our little band of merry people on TL.
Tfs Andy

Hi Dean, it is wonderful to meet your daughter.

"HI Grace! You are a pretty young lady, and your daddy should be very proud of you. I hope you will be able to take as good a picture as your daddy does - even better one day."

Thanks Dean for sharing your daughter with us,
Janice

Ah yes! Get her a page on this site! She is ready to go! My daughter is also here, her handle is SHELBEE. But watch out, she could up-stage you and pass you by on points and that is a real EGO-buster! HAHAHA!
She is a doll! GREAT shot and I love the pose..she is a natural!
B-)

Hi Dean,

Well, I think you should give your children a free choice in life. As such it's hard to see that this little girl has already been wasted for life, holding a Canon and never having been able to experience the pleasures of a Nikon hahaha.

Great DoF and sharpness, but a pity of that Canon camera in the picture :-).

Greetings! Dennis

What a great portrait. Beautiful light you've captured here.
Very sharp and full of details.

I think its such a great idea to let your kids play around with cameras. I think its quite interesting to see how they decide to capture the world around them.

Great shot!

Cheers,
Jens

Hi Dean,
Your landscapes are wonderful, but this picture of your daughter is irrisistable. The light and shadow playing on her face, reflection of light twinkle in her eye - her pose as if she feels she is a capable professional - she must copy your behaviour in one way or another.
There is one thing I can not quite understand - she must be quite a young lady wearing a white T to the Zoo and keeping it white - I don't quite see my boys doing the same thing....
Love it - great Canon promotion - technical good shot (but that is never what attracts me in a picture).
TFS
Els
