[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Good morning my friends

Not much time this morning as its a glorious day and I want to be off out shortly with the rebel.

Just bathed both dogs what a laugh that was, one loves it the other hates it.

Last night I went for a walk to the local country park to try out the rebel on some scenic captures. This on was taken just at the gate.

Hope your having a fab weekend

TTFN Helen

Hi Helen
Great composition, real good POV, the light is perfect you have done well - again. TFS.
Regards
Jens.

Hello Helen,

This is the sort of shot that people argue over! Should it be lighter? I think maybe, just a little brighter but for me, Els' workshop has brightened it too much so it has lost its air of mystery! Going into a wood should be dark, should be intriguing, should have an air of mystery.

I like this sort of photograph which encourages the viewer to add an ending to something the photographer has begun.

I have done a little w/s which I hope you like but I would not be offended if you said it loses something that I intended to be threre!
Different monitors can make photographs significantly brighter or darker!

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Good morning Helen, it is fun to get out with the new toy, isn't it. This looks like a lovely green area to visit, with the stream and bridge to walk over.
You have 2 interesting WS's. It's not always easy to shoot into a darker area especially with the light in the BG. I have no answers. Sometimes I will set the camera on AUTO to see what numbers it comes up with. And that doesn't always work either - but it's fun and frustrating trying...
Cheers, Janice

PS Still no news from here.

Hi Helen

What a greeny atmposphere..... Fantastic

Hi Helen,
When opened the picture is attractive and paints a mood - however in the thumbnail it is much too dark.
So I have used my trusted and tried PhotoFiltre to make a gamma correction.
Hope you like.
Have a nice day (and tomorrow a holiday as well?)

Very good morning dear Helen.
Be careful when 'playing' with a Rebel, especially in the woods. haha
Nice composed picture, but it sounds a little bit dark. (Thats is even more dangeour to go to the woods)
Have to see the workshop, Els made. Think she switched the light on ?
Have an easy day.
Jan

There are certainly many ways we can modify an image to change the appearance and mood. Your original to me seems quiet and peaceful. And I like that. Well done.

TFS!
Reid

Nice capture. Good composition and details, but I find it a bit dark.
Still the dark gives it a more mysterious and dangerous look.
TFS
Pierre
