Hi guys,
This was taken yesterday at the same area as yesterdays post, I had high hopes for this area which is quite close to where I live, but it turned out to be quite plain and boring as landscapes go.
This is my first attempt at this sort of image, and am pleasantly surprised by the results, when I took the shot I had this in mind, all comments will be greatly welcome.
PP resized, converted to B&W via layers and hue saturation, erased the area I wanted in colour by using the eraser tool, resharpened and title/border added.
Thankyou. |

Hi Dean, I like this kind of picture. But if i can say, you might have taken a long route to do it, instead of using layers, you should try to use the hue-saturation, and desaturate only the colors you want and keeping the red ones. thats how I did that picture:

a lot quicker and easier.
But I really like your picture, it definitely makes some color to a landscape which could become a bit dull in photo. love your frame too.

Hiya Dean
OOlala we re getting adventurous (spelling?) This is great, really effective and yes there are a number of ways of skinning a cat. I have used this style with layers and also used colour selection. Both take about the same amount of time so its a matter of personal choice I Guess.
You have turned a flat landscape into a really interesting image and the framing enhances the design really well.
TFS kind regards Helen
Hi Dean,
Nice work with the PP, the picture has taken a totally new look and is interesting to look at, I like the border too IMO this works well.

The red sign is eye catching, but I like the variety of textures in the land and sea and sky. Well done.
TFS!
