If you have read my travelogue story, you know that after our long stay at Aberlour we moved on toward Glen Coe. At Glen Coe I met up with fellow TrekNature photographer Emma (Aramok). She grew up in Scotland and knows this part of Scotland as her second home. She showed me the area of Loch Tulla and Loch Ettive.

This is a view from the south shore of Loch Tulla on Black Mount. The estate and mountain range are both called the same.

We were vey lucky in regards of the weather. That evening the temperature droped to -3 degrees Celcius. And a heavy storm and lots of rain arrived the next morning.

enjoy

Hallo Niek,
TFS & groeten!
Erik

Hi Niek,

Lovely shot of an area I know very well, the mountains to the left of the estate are some of my very first big climbs, It is an area I try to get to every few weeks, in winter it is amazing.

Very well taken and good sky.

Douglas

Hello Niek.
I'm really enjoying your Scotland series. The weather gave you beautiful light to work with, and the odd lovely sky. Such as here. Great POV, colours and reflections. Very beautiful. TFS.

Hi Niek,
I like much this landscape! This horizontal composition with three layers : lake, mountains and cloudy sky is very quiet and relaxing. Very natural colors and good play of shadows. Excellent! Bravo! Annie

Hallo Niek.
Classic Scottish landscape in 'summer'.
Excellent sharp with lovely clouds formations.
The house building shows the scale of the hills very well.
Groeten van Jan

This is some nice strong sky. And the rest of the landscape as well. That's a formidible house (or castle) but it seems small in comparison to its surroundings. Well done.

TFS!
Reid

Hi Niek, fascinating landscape with splendid sky, wonderful light and colors, superb reflections, very well done, ciao Silvio

Hello Niek,
A beautiful landscape in this fine composition!
I like the slowly rolling hills, the fine old house as well ...
It is awesome to read in your note about the -3C, in summer vacation; this summer has been the worst for long also across the North Sea! I'm hoping for autumn but so far not good...
Greetings,
Pablo -

Hi Niek

You experienced the joy of the UK weather - lovely one day and torrential rain the next! Lovely scene. I best you and Emma had a lovely time.

Nicely composed, lovely light falling on to the hills and a perfect exposure

Wonderful, Niek. The estate building is beautiful, and I like the way youv'e captured it in its surroundings. I'm good with the amount of sky, but it looks like yoou were looking for a more "natural" look by not using grad filter?...
Mike

Hi Niek,

This is another beauty. Very nice on all levels.

Your clouds in this are awesome Niek! My next purchases, besides the new lenses, is polarizing filters for all of them. This is super nice in the tones, and boy I could live like this! HAHA!
