[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi guys, this was taken back in August near to Wrynose Pass in the lake district.
I did'nt think this was all that interesting but still thought of it as a nice photo all the same so decided to do some PP work on it to try and give it an old fashioned look.

Hope you like it, your thoughts on this one will be very welcome as i'm not sure i've achieved the oldy worldy look I was trying for.

PP, cropped, layered, blurred and multiplied, layer, blurred and screened, variations of yellow and red then tweaked with fade controller, resharpened and border/title added.

Hello Dean.
I do like it a lot and I think you achieved interesting, old look result. I like the softness of this photo and great composition. Tastefully framed.

The sepia type effect looks ok but the composition isn't that good really, one big tree slap bang in the middle of a very tight crop/frame - the extremes of the branches have been cut off on the right and are very tight on the left, it all looks a little constrained in my opinion. There is however somehting curious - if you look in at the trunk and go up a bit...say 2" or so from the bottom frame there appears to be a ghostly face! Can you see it?

Hi Dean,

Your tone gives the thoughtful lone tree a feeling of antiquity .. almost out of a dream. The tree has a feeling immensity thanks to your tight crop.

take care,

John

Hi Dean,
I like this, I am not sure why as IMO it's cropped to tightly and is smack bang in the middle of the frame, but I like it, you have done well with the PP work as it certainly looks old fashioned.
Tfs Andy

hi Dean.
Nice shot.

Hiya Dean

This is very different for you and I adore the sublte colour tones here, I like the image but have to be honest and say I think the crop is a bit wrong. this is just my personal opinion though so please dont take offence. I did a quick workshop which again is just my view on the image. Hope you like it though :-)

Still well worth 2 points as all was cool aside from the crop.

kind regards Helen
