[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Bald Eagle (Haliaeetus leucocephalus) taken at Eagle Heights in Kent, a rescue centre for Raptors. This Eagle was heading up in a wide sweeping arc, hence the full spread of the tail feathers.

I cropped a little and used Nikon Capture NX 1.2 for post processing. I used a Color Control Point for the sky to darken it a little and change the hue slightly, another Control Point to add some saturation and contrast to the Eagle's body. That's about it.

Hello Adrian

Superb capture here, excellent detail and colour, wonderful POV.

TFS regards Helen

Hello Adrian,
This is a pleasure to see a "new" post from you :) I have seen those guys this summer again in Mont-Tremblant National Park but they are so hard to capture in picture! They are very rare here and always flying so high… This is an amazing in-flight capture with superb details, composition and great exposure. A pleasure to see :) Thanks!
Claudine

Hi Adrian,
Wow great shot of this Eagle, colours and sharpness are excellent as is the feather detail, you have positioned the subject well in the frame too.
Well done
Tfs Andy

Great shot, did you consider making the raptor the centre of the image and balancing the background to the left and right of the image?

howdy new-texan! *g* how are things going, hope you are ok.
terrific and amazing inflight-shot, cool to see that you were
"above" him and show us his back and upper-side of the big outstretched wings.
well done & take care, thor.

NO FREAKING WAY........

I went onto your naturetrek site, but I cannot remember my password as my treklens is favorite on my email, so I cannot leave any remarks (but I have made you a favourite, so I can view your site).

Those pictures of yours are outrageous Adrian. The quality..
Actually not sure where to start... Difficult for me as I always have something to say or ask (*_^)

Do you think the camera enhances the lens at all? Because they are simply put. STUNNING. The detail, sharpness. Man I do not care if that is a commercial lens or not, looking at what you can get out of the lens makes me drool. Now even more than ever I want to get one.

Thanks a great stack Adrian

Clint

Hello Adrian wow this is awsome, good light and nicely composed, well focussed and nice detail in the wings tfs rgds Necip

Hi Adrain,
Great to see you post a photo again. I have always enjoyed your photos and was hoping to see one again. I really like how you controlled the exposure here, the dark sky brings out the details of the eagle beautifully. Love the composition and the perfect pose. It does look like your PP work left a slight halo around the eagle.
TFS,
Niek
