The first time in my life, I have this incredible feeling came out of me, is like the view just taken my breathe away, I don't know how to explain it, but I am sure a lot of us know how it feel when you see something as incredible as this, maybe not for the local...:P

Markus have decided this is the day we should visit two stone circle, so we took a 3 hours drive... all the way down to visit Stonehenge. When we arrived there, I just can't believe how powerful it look. We had a discussion with Zak, our 8 years old son, about what did he think how this being "build", and is incredible to see what his answer like, he just said, crane?... well we all don't really have any answer to it, do we? :P There are lots of theory about it, but none is concrete...

I took a lot of photos for this place, but there are just too many tourists... just like us, visiting this ancient site, so it is pretty hard to take any good photos with "no one" in view...:P. I really like this place, and I hope all of you enjoy it as much as I do.

Sorry I haven't posting as much as I like, still trying to sort out a lot of the photos, especially when I brew up my backup hard drive (one and only with all the up todate travel's photos)

Hi Sweety-Pie,
I've been there!! What an interesting place, isn't it?
I like your composition - the stones stand out so strongly against that blue sky. It's an interesting composition, and I like Robert's comments about enhancing the mystery and relation between the monument and space.
Good one girl!
Janice

Hi Sweety,

Bonjour Sweety,
Stonehenge est un site magique, et c'est exactement ça qui en ressort avec ta photo... Laisser une grande place au ciel.
Bonne journée

Hoi Sweety,
I have to agree with the nice work with gradient of the blue sky. I like the green contrast and the minimalization of objects. Frame is simple but powerfull combinated with simple rest of picture.
Nice work
thanks

Hello Sweety, it a good photo of the stonehenge. I like the compostition in this photo. I have never been in the UK, so I never seen it in real only in books. At first I looked at your photo and thought its a nice place. At second I read your note and read about the never-leaving-tourist.. I watched the photo again and saw a little tourist standing on the right... THEN I realize how big it really was!!! So now I am impressed!

Hello sweety,
A very pleasing minimalism!
The big sky is symbolic and adds strongly to the impact of this fine image!

Hi Sweety,
Nice vertical composition. I like the smooth colour gradient in the sky :-)
Well done

Best regards, Daniel

Hi Sweety. Wow, it seems weird typing that! I very much like the use of the upright format in this picture of Stonehenge. As huge as it is, it is brought down to size by the imensity of the sky. (Did you bring that blue stuff with you?) Excellent exposure, colour and sharpness.
Vic.

love the color gradient here sweety :)
the portrait framing is perfect for this image
the space at the top makes this work very well

great image of Stonehenge
love the format and blue sky

This is so well captured. That space on top works so well here. I would love to capture these stonehenge. Well done.
Have a wonderful birthday.....HAPPY BIRTHDAY.

Hello Sweety !

Smart composition enhancing the mystery and relation between the monument and space. Strong contrasts and colors. It could have worked as well in B&W.

Take care !
Robert

Wonderful image. The expanse of sky suggests a very wide open area, yet as you say it's a tourist trap and modern civilisation is very nearby. The gentle changes in the blue create a very serene image to look at as well. I also like how you've captured the textures and shape of the rocks so well.

Hi Sweety!
Nice place taken.I like the way you showing it.Good compo.
Cheers.

Hi Sweety

Beautiful compo here, Sweety... You captured this monument entirely, and left it enough room to make it look...small again... But then the human elements add a sense of dimension.
Very well done, TFS

Hi Sweety,
So you managed to get one without hundreds of people in the picture! Good use of the empty sky. Beautiful composition.
Sunil

In fact i saw it and something near your note was in my mind... I was about to ask you if you feel history was there at this precise place and deserve silence to listen to the time passing, just a so small part you pass there ...
Something like that i believe...

It was good to give all that dimension to the sky as it was about stars to determine annual dates.
The texture of the stone please me a lot too! You capture it very well!

Hi
Had to pull this one up when I spotted it. Been there and seen that during my film day. Love you composition - letting the sky dominate. Not the same old image of Stone Hendge. Bravo.

Thanks for the visit to my Road Trip - much appreciated.

This is such a beautiful time of the day. The shadows and cloudless blue sky are perfect! The green enhances the main subject! I like it a lot. I wish to here someday. Hopefully my timing for a nice weather like this is right.

Beautiful day with vast blue sky.

Hi Sweety.

Amazing photo. I am fortunate to live nearby Stonehenge but it never quite looks this good when driving past. The colour of the sky you have captured is so clear and the sun and shadows on the stones is good. Well done.
