Just back from a week relaxing on the bonnie bonnie banks of Loch Lomond.

Weather pretty grim so not too many opportunities to take pictures.

The is the steamer the Sir Walter Scott on Loch Katrine. Beautiful spot for a walk.

Hi Peter, I wonder what he is burning in that boiler? Looks as though it needs a bit more air for proper combustion! Nice atmospheric (pardon the unintended pun) shot.
Best regards, Les

Hi Peter,

The crop works well here, and the thick black smoke contrasts very well with the background. I just hope we get plenty of high pressure this winter with good crisp days.

hello Peter,
I like this one. The smoke from the steamer's funnel makes the shot. But you have also caught the light on the autumnal trees. You have captured a nice atmosphere.
I hope the weather will be good for photo taking this winter. No tupperware grey skies I hope.
regards
Bev

Hello, Peter.

Fabulous! I think I was born 100 years too late - I love steam, iron, brass, coal, smoke, locomotives - all that stuff - and this shot of the steamer just typifies that. It might not be eco-friendly but it sure looks good! Great autumnal colours in those trees and the background too.

Excellent!

Kind Regards,

John.

Hi Peter..nice composition, colors and smoke.....
