Hi Craig

I really like this shot. I love long exposures with water and leaves. The colors are strong and the composition excellent. I did feel the shot was a bit soft and not as sharp as it could be. I posted a workshop if you are so interested. Have a good weekend!

A very pleasant view Craig, well composed with beautiful colours. However the image is a little soft (I don't mean the water). May I suggest a final pre-post sharpening using (in Adobe PS or Elements) the high pass filter. Create a duplicate layer then filters>other>HPF and set a radius of 0.3. Click "normal" and opt for blend mode Vivid light @ 100% opacity. Click the "eye" icon on and off to see the before and after effect (but leave it on to re-compress for the web).

I like the water effects in contrast to the still fallen leaves. I'd like to see a real autumn someday and I'm hoping its just like this. :)

I love this photo - beautiful colours and effective exposure length. Perfect composition and low point of view. I really like the way the leaves are decorating the rocks in the river and the silky appearance of the water.

Hello, Craig.

I like this picture a lot. The colours are superbly autumnal and I also like the effect of a slow shutter-speed on the flow of the water - sometimes that can be a bit overdone, but not in this case.

However, I think the workshop done by Mike Ryan has helped it a great deal as, I am sure, would the advice given by Vic Chapman. That just puts the icing on the cake!

Amazing photo. I can never get enough of beautiful woodsy foliage photos. I love the softness of the flowing stream, the arrangement of the rocks, the colors both in the foreground and background, and the moss covered rocks and branches throughout the photo. In scenes like this, nature itself is beautiful -- but as a photographer, you did an amazing job of creating even more beauty by finding an original and artistic way of capturing the beauty you found here. Wonderful shot. Added to my favorites.
