A break from the droplets today!
This is a little experiment I did the other day.

Used magic wand tool to select the silhouetted Canada Goose from it's original photo.
Dragged the cut-out goose into sunset photo which was warmed and saturated.
Rotated whole thing horizontally.
Framed and signed.

I hope you like it!

Hi Joe,

Well done! That's some great post processing for sure! Perhaps I'd taken the goose a little bit smaller, just because it now feels a bit too close for me to be real ;-). But surely nicely done!!

Greetings,
Dennis

Hi Joe,
Nice work with the PP, The sun set on it's own is good but with the silhoetted goose it comes alive, if you hadn't said I would not have guessed that the goose was an addition, nice work.
Regards Andy

It looks so natural, it does not seems to had been used the wand tool for the silhouetted. Well done, beautiful composition. (sorry about my english please)
Regards, pamela

A very credible image, even though you say it's a montage, Joe. I hadn't noticed at all, as it's very well done!
A nice warm sunset too, yes, I like it!

What a great job, Joe!! It looks as if the goose were really flying towards the sun. Fantastic composition.
Very well done.
Greetings

If you did that PP, then you need to find some work in the business. You are way too good for just the internet..It is a very creative notion Joey...You are two brained I swear!

Hi Joe
Great PP experiment, colors and sense:)I like it a lot!
regards,valentina
thank you so much for your nice words for my cats:)

Hi Joe,

This is the kind of PP work that really works for me. You create just the right setting for this Canadian bird. He is getting cold and now is off to warmer climes.
Wonderful!

Hi Joe,
Lovely composition and nice silhouettes of this wanderful sunset, great colors and reflections on water, belle prise de vue and details very well done..
Michel

Very nicely done, giving a perspective that could perhaps otherwise only be taken by incredible chance or Goosecam' :D

A very dramatic and interesting pictures... not just another saturated sunset... ;)

With thanks
Francis

Hi joe,

Yes it works very nicely. Because it is a silhouette, it makes it easier to make it realistic.

For composition in this case it would have been nicer to place the sun over to the right hand side.

TFS,
Pedro

Joey, the Canada Geese needs a lot more detail to be believable. The dark silhouette immediately says "clone". In addition, the size perspective is off. Don't be discouraged, you're doing great!
