Timeless image, could have been taken any time over the last 40 years. As that is when the valley was flooded to enable this water way to be created.

Four or five farms and half a dozen houses are beneath the water here.

Not a very nice day but even so I think the image suits the sepia treatment.

Peter, as you say, this is timeless. For some reason the first image that came to mind when I first saw it was a Lancaster just about to drop its bouncing bomb!

I like the faint reddish tinted sepia tone & superb composition & tonal range. Excellent symmetry & the fg slope at left, adds nice dynamism. Tfs!

Nice composition again, but even better tones. I have tried to produce stuff like this but cant get near to your quality.
