[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
We had terrible weather here in the Scottish Borders last Thursday and Friday lots of snow. But as I was working I was unable to photograph it.

By Saturday (my day off) it had all cleared. But this morning I was amazed to find that more snow had fallen during the night.

So off to St Marys Loch, to capture a few images. The show had begun to thaw by the time I got there but did manage a few shots.

Hope you like the result.

Peter

Hi Peter

I like the opposing diagonals in this superb landscape. The snow enhances the graphism. Tfs!

Hello, Peter.

A beautiful shot! St. Mary's Loch does seem to feature quite often of late on this site, but it is, I suppose, a very photogenic place. You have managed to capture the beauty of the snow on the hills and in the foreground - some great colours and superb clarity too.

Best Wishes for 2008!

Kind Regards,

John.

Hello Peter !

Happy New & White Year! Good for you you got snow as well. Winter is much more fun when the landscapes are white. They are beautiful too.

Difficult although to capture them on sunny days, unless we have the sun behind us.

Here the hills are in the shadow result, the sky is relatively overexposed. I like a lot the composition and perspective.
Cheers!
Robert

hello Peter,
It is very frustrating when the snow does not stay long enough for us workers to get out and photograph it. But still, you managed to catch this one before it got away. I like the foreground detail of snow with the vegeatation peeping through. The dark hillside beyond makes for a good contrast with the light of the snow and helps to create a satisfying composition.

I like your style of photography Peter and where you live you sure are in the most rugged and beautiful part of the country, oh how I envy you ..

Wonderful shot well composed, good foreground interest leading the eye to that mountain range .. great exposure too of the snow .. very nice work

Michael

Hi Peter, how nice to see snow, here in Awali, Bahrain the last time we had freezing conditions was in 1964 and they still talk about it!!! This is a lovely landscape and has a nice perspective.
