[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hello Mateys

Part two of my incoming series following on from yesterdays effort, see incoming for more info on what was going on.

Things I dont like about this are the central placing of the swan in the frame and the fact he has no space in the direction of travel. I know there are several other things that could be better about this, please feel free to tell me I will not be offended and am keen to learn.

Cheers
Tom

Hi Tom,
Another nice one in the series, again the shutter speed is a little low but I know what your saying about changing settings quickly without missing the shot, a nice capture though with some good detail, as you said it needs a little more space infront and maybe above the swan.
Well done
Regards Andy

Wonderful freeze of the action Tom,
I really like the background heere too,
Excellent colors.
Well done!

This is so beautifully timed Tom. The wings in that position, the neck of the swan stretching forward, really captures the energy the bird is expending to get airborne.
They are a heavy bird, and I presume it was moving quite fast, great job, well done.
Pete.

Good morning Tom

Nice shot here my friend. I only partially agree with your comment on the spacing on this one. The angle of the shot is impressive and I dont feel as though the bird is restricted in any way as its wings are fully open. Nice mixture of sharpness and movement. Maybe a tad more sharp would improve the shot.

Lovely work

TFS regards Helen

Hello Tom, this one is good too, great take-off ! Well done my friend !

Hi bro,
I like this one much better than yesterday's posting. Personally, I like the composition - I think a central composition can work when it really fills the frame like this - and the blur on the wings. Both of which are things you're trying to find ways to correct ;-)
Cheers, John.

Hi Tom, I really like this one, it gives a great impression of movement with the BG and wing blur. The fact that the head and neck come out sharp is the icing on the cake. The composition is fine. Cheers, Dad

Hi Tom!

Not as sharp as the other 2, but this gets my vote!!
The OOF movement shows us the speed the bird is going - great capture Tom - the 3 pics are great.

Very nice series Tom
I probably would have used a higher shutter speed, BUT your results with panning have resulted in a sense of motion - the head is in reasonably good focus.
