Hiya peeps

I am starting the theme a little early today as I am going to be very busy at work and wont have much time later.

I took this shot at the MSN bike show in london a few weeks back. This is the engine section of what was a very long low and amazing looking American chopper bike. As ususal at events like this it was impossible to get a decent full shot due to the position of the bike and the amount of people milling around. I decided to just capture the engine section. Suprisingly for something that looks so bright and shiney from a distance, when you look closer there are many mucky finger marks. I am reliably informed that the conical pointy piece is the air filter (just in case you were wondering).

I had another shot in mind for the theme this week but was not happy with it due to the lighting and the BG. I did prepare it for upload and will post it into workshop as its quite a cute old fashioned bike.

Ok must get on for now.

TTFN and thanks for the visit.

Kind regards Helen

You sure this bike hasn't got a sidecar Helen? It would have three then...but i'll take your word that there is only two.
Nice detail, good colour saturation...a great pic for blokes;-)
Well done,
Pete.

What a "monster"! Excellent done Helen!
Very nice "chrome" effect, well done!

Regards!

Igor

Well done Hele; considering the situation, you did most excellent with all the details and less shine on crome!

Hello Helen,

Someone has lovingly polished this ... and then pinched the wheels!

Just joking! Wonderful, sharp, shot! I like how the red part makes a natural frame!

Many thanks for your kind comments on 'On two wheels and a support!'

Helo Helen.
Sure this was a 'fast' shot.!Think the shutterspeed reach the topspeed of this motorbike.
Very well taken, nice glance it has.
Regards from Jan

Hiya Smurfie,
Great sharp and clear close up attractive colours and a perfect crop nicely framed! Great contribution to the theme my dear. One remark, I would have cloned the small OE shining "star" as result of the flash. Anyway a fine image of this bike :-)
Hans

Great partial shot of a neat looking bike. It would have been nice to see a full shot, but we can't always have everything we want even though we can try...
Good work!

hello Helen,
this tightly framed picture shows off the shiny newness of the chrome very well. The big black frame assists this too.

Can't see the wheels Helen!! But we know they're there, and they are carrying an expensive red and silver body too.
I like the WS image too, that's a real oldie

Hi Helen

I like the 2 swirling curves of red & the tight framing, in this supern entry in the 2 wheels theme. Good sharpness & contrast. Tfs! Have a great weekend!

Hi dear friend,
wonderful idea for the new theme!
Nice vivid red bound with those silver sparkles.
The black frame works perfectlty.
Thanks for the fun!
Have a lovely day.
Ioana

Yes I was indeed wondering about that part of the engine. Lovely detailed and shining capture.
Yes the bike in the WS is a great one, however it would be very difficult to transform the BG to better show of the bike.

Sans voir les roues on peut entendre cette machine dévaster les grandes routes!
Les couleurs sont absolument magnifiques et les reflests de lumière sont un plus à la beauté de cet engin.

Hi Heln
The wheels - we know they are there.
Great shot, superb sharpness, excellent light. Could be used in a MC magazine.
Regards
Jens.

A lot of chrome there Helen and I think you did well with the flash to only get that one bright bit. No wheels but I guess we can assume that the motor was sitting on some :). We had a vist the other day from two members of a local bike gang. I grabbed my camera to get some shots of the one bike I had not seen before but once up close decided against it, not very well looked after at all. TFS and once again for the theme,
David
