It is a very simple, but expressive photo
You catched the mood very well in the landscape

Joy to look at.
Slight change in composition to place the tree more to the left of the frame and maybe a bit more light on the wood.

Trees like this are fascinating and sentimental somehow:) This is a lovely scene, although the tree could be less centered (generally, think of your image in thirds, both vertically and horizontally, when you compose the shot). I like the use of space and texture around the tree, holding it nicely in the shot. Very appealing:) Nice to find you here on TL, and keep posting!
Hi Codge,
Wonderful impressive shot...
Nice lightining and meaningful composition. TFs.

Of your shots so far in TL, this I think is the best.
There is a real sense of distance here - and that's hard to achieve! Something about the way you've captured the details of distant terrain, but also the haze.
I was going to say 'rule of thirds,' give it more sky and move the tree to the left ... now that I look at it again, I think you've got just the right amount of land and sky; I still think you could've placed the tree more to the left for a stronger comp, but already it's slightly off-centre and really, this shot works well.
Congratulations.

Really great view;) And I agree with other commenters about moving the main subject to the left..
Thanks for sharing,

Very interesting scene... kinda mystical feeling here... the depth of focus is great. Very good mix of shadow and light elements... I don't usually like frames but like the way this ones white part changes against sky and green hill backgrounds...
My only critic of a (negative) but constructive kind is maybe you could give a little levels etc to bring out the contrasting elements a bit... (Will have a go at workshop if I don't get too tired after posting a pic) been by Birthday today, well technically yesterday... :D
I guess having been a "Heathcliff--- Wuthering heights fan" somehow this seems to capture for me the rugged nature of moor lands... ;)

Hi Codge,
This is a simple shot but very interesting and beautiful landscape. The old tree adds beauty to it and the boarder looks great.
You captured a beautiful shot.
GRACE
Hi Codge, nice landscape and superb details on the tree. maybe cropping the left side to have the subject off centered and it'll be ok.
all the best,
tet

Hello,
A very moody tree set off against a pastel background, very nice opposites.
Great colors, contrasts, details and composition, thanks for sharing,
Fran

Hi Codge
Amazing shot! The trees like this are everywhere and the only questions is, can you see them?

Hello Codge,
I'm a failure in capturing landscapes.
This one is amazingly well captured.
Looks like its the last standing tree.
Very beautiful and the background is awesome.
Love it.
Best regards,
Sharina
