Would be nice to be on one of those island for a few days ( with good weather as well of course!) Stunning!! I love taking shots from the plane too! But I have never seen islands like those.. well taken. (you were lucky to have a clean window too! ;) )

I have been looking at Google Earth but that does not give me a clue as to where this can be - but the channel islands will cover that question. Was it daylight when you were approaching Dubai? you started out early from England.
A lovely capture - seems like tropical islands to me.
That street of clourds looks wonderful seen from above.

This looks more like coral reefs in the Red Sea, than the English Channel.
