[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Taken at Pets Corner in Jesmond Dene last summer. The parrot never moved all the time I was there, I thought it may have been an ex-parrot ???? (cue the closet Python fans). It seemed depressed, staring at the wall all the time. Either way it got me thinking about caging wildlife for public 'pleasure' - now there's a huge can of worms I don't want to open !!

PP work - Isolated the bird, sharpened using unsharp mask and upped saturation on the colours. Converted the rest to black and white and shifted curves and levels. Awkward crop to include the full shadow. Framed and resized.
