[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Eilean Donan
*”Eilean Donan (Scottish Gaelic for Island of Donan), is a small island in Loch Duich in the western Highlands of Scotland. It is connected to the mainland by a footbridge and lies about half a mile from the village of Dornie. Eilean Donan is named after St. Donan, a celtic saint martyred in the Dark Ages.”
The MacKinnons alied themselves with the MacRae Clan, who’s castle it is, during the Jaccobite risings, so we found many historic items that were related to the MacKinnon clan.
This is the most photographed castle in Scotland (so Wikipedia says) so very hard to get something really original.
Raw converted, Added +3 saturation, then in a new layer added brightness to the castle only.(new experiment) to try and bring it out of the back ground more. Added a border (no frame to see if I can hold more detail) resized, USM framed and signed.

Thanks for helping me learn and grow.

Hi my friend,
Which splendid landscape. We cannot weary oneself to look at it. Excellent composition, point of view and in spite of the cloudy sky, that does not remove of anything the beauty of this photograph. Have a nice day Wanda.
Amitiés sincères
Diane

Hello Wanda.
See you'r back home aswell.
Scotland for sure is a perfect place for photographers, with the many old ruins. "If stones could speak", use a great Scottish photographer (Highlander as name in Epz) to say.
Haven't seen all my pictures of our holidays, on computer right now, but think to post one by tomorrow.
Best regards from Jan

I was so busy making the WS that I almost forgot the critique.

Hi Wanda,

How I would have loved to stand here and see this view. The name already is quite romantic.
The weather is - well Dutch? - a bit gloomy and that gives you a wonderful sky, but I think the Eilean deserves more attention, so I made you a WS.

Hi Wanda

A good capture of the ancient, Scottish castle, & the loch. The overcast weather adds mood & atmosphere. Tfs!

Hi Wanda, there appears to be a couple of your Scottish tour that I have overlooked. A lovely image and I can almost smell the heather. good colour and detail regardless of the skies and a good POV. TFS,
David
