Hello Everyone,

First, let me apologise to all those people who have sent me criticisms to which I have not responded. My husband and I have just spent a few days in The Lake District so I have been without computer. I am sending a big, multiple thank you to you all.

What a lot of interesting repetitions there are! And so varied!

I decided to post this shot before I went away.
It is a sempervivum, a very interesting rockery plant. I just love the way that it creates whorls of leaves to give the impression of a flower! They are often called 'house leeks' but that doesn't sound very romantic, does it!

There is lots of information about these plants in Wikipedia if you would care to look. I am not printing them as I feel that long notes can often be quite overwhelming.

Thank you for stopping by.
Please feel free to offer feedback on any aspect of the photograph.

pp cropped, sharpened, added layer, added marquee tool (elipse), added internal border, erased sections to expose semper leaves, added external borders, used smudge tool to draw external leaves onto border, signed

Hi Bew
What a beautiful creation, produced from a superb shot. Great colors and a superb presentation and composition.
Greetings
Jens.

Hi Beverley, this looks more like a fractal, bit like the early Mandelbrot patterns, good and interesting composition.

Hi Bev,

Natures graphical artwork, repeating patterns.
In South Africa near the border of Lesotho, we met some Sotho men and they pointed out their national symbol, a plant similar to this one one they grow in a line from the heart and in circular movements that line works its way to the outside, when it goes clockwise its a female plant and anti-clockwise a male.
Your plant is perfect symetrie - lovely colours, lovely work.

You can see when May is coming I always get the feeling I want to go to South Africa, but this year my husband has no holidays left - our 35 anniversary is coming and then we also go with the children to the island of Texel, lots of sheep - also very lovely.

hello beverley,
I like these plants too and they have made an excellent subject for your contribution to the theme. Good PP work has produced a satifyingly symetrical image. The pinks and greens are nice too.
Bev
ps Look forward to see what you bagged in the Lake District.

Hi Bev,

Lake district? I heard lots about that place, everyone told me (during our last few days in UK) that it is a must go place, as it is beautiful, but we didn't manage to as just too rush... you must post some photos to share with us, :D

Interesting repetition you have here, lots and lots of the repetition as itself already one! Lovely colours and very good pp work! :D

Have a wonderful weekend,

Cheers,
Sweety

Hi Bev,
Beautiful intricate details and patterns to this lovely flower that is seen in striking colors and sharpness. It is a small world we live in. I trust you enjoyed your visit with the folks from the Green Mountain State.
Regards, Tom

Hi Bev,
Excellent PP work! Nice vivid colours and a caleidoscopic effect is great. A cheerful posting my dear!

Hi Bev, I love seeing all the different things people are serving up for the theme this time around. Excellent PP work to bring out the detail, cactii are not beautiful but they can be very colourful. TFS,
