[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A veiw of the cottages at Luss Village on the edge of Loch Lomond. A beautiful village with quaint buildings and magnificent views over the loch to Ben Lomond. Well worth a visit. This is my first posting on TrekLens. I hope you like it. The image was taken on slide film using a Canon EOS 5 with a 28 - 70 lens. In the original slide the lamppost was obscuring one of the chimneys so I moved it in photoshop. The only other manipulation to the image was slight sharpening.

Welcome to Treklens! You certainly have a nice photo to begin your journey! I like all of the repetitive portions of the photo; smoke, roof lines, chimneys, etc... It's a nice composition.

Hi Lorna,welcome to TrekLens,I like the mood this image gives.
Dont get a chance to view those types of chimneys here in my part of the globe,so this brings back fond memories,not of the chimneys of course:) but of the people that lived in the homes like this.See your a purist still using slide film,good for you.

Hi Lorna, welcome to TL! Very nice picture, reminds me of some old Disney movies supposed to be in London :o) The composition is very good and so are the colors and light. About that lamppost, maybe taking it out entirely wouldŽnt be a bad idea as it is a little blurred with your moving it. Looking forward for the next picture.

Nice blue tones however the picture is not quite a s sharp as it could be. A great shot to start on TL with. Well done.

Welcome on Treklens! This is a fantastic image from a slide film. Excellent point of view (POV) and good rendered of the foggy night ambiance.
