| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This was a fashion show made by Chinese Student Union of City University in London, designed by students from SM/LCF, models were students from these uni too
Picture taken with D300/Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8/SB-800, guess I have to buy a 70-200mm f/2.8 to shoot this kinda events next time. |

Hi Kiddie,
It must be a the wish of every new photographer, and many old ones, to have a different lens. Either a new one or the other one that is in the bag.
You have done a good job with the lens you had available. I like the roughness of the case and light behind the model. That is not something you are likely to see on most catwalks, but quite appropriate in a university show. They need to use whatever is available.
I imagine that most of your pictures seem to have different coloured lighting. I think that because, I can see three different types of light in this shot. The light in the picture is very blue (probably a new LED fixture), your flash is more white and the overall look is orange probably from tungsten lights used to light the catwalk.
Finally, The shoes are quite nice, but the dress is far too traditional for a student fashion show. Use your imaginations people! Hahahaha.
TFS,
Clive
