Good Morning Everyone,

I hope you are all having an enjoyable weekend, or holiday for those of us who are having a Bank Holiday.

This photograph is just simply one taken near my home. I liked it particularly because it is showing that spring is at last happening, and I also liked the long shadows made by the late afternoon sun.

I love shadows on a photograph, but must admit that until I became interested in photography, I never even noticed them. Photography has opened my eyes to so much of the world's beauty!

Thank you for stopping by.
I hope you liked N.E. Lancashire.
Please feel free to offer feedback on any aspect of the photograph. :-)

Beautifully picturesque. Lovely sharpness and light, quite well composed - a delightful shot. I would have liked to see the tops of the trees on the hill though.

Hi Beverley,
The road is a perfect lead-in ... it effectively leads the viewer's focus towards the end of the frame. Lovely countryside scene wonderfully captured. Good image and color quality. I like the inclusion of sheep to give perspective to the scene. Well composed! tfs
Cheers,
Renier

Hello Beverley!

Beautiful place Beverly. Well composed. Nice lead in plants fence.

Hello Beverley,
This country road makes a fine lead-in to the peaceful landscape!
I like the composition, with the fence mainly as a shadow...
And you even managed to include some sheep!
They are sheep aren't they?
Greetings,
Pablo -

Hi Bev,
A lovely country scene, great line in from the road, although I have to nit picks to remark: the lead in would have been stronger when the lft edge of the road would have started precisely in the left lower corner and secondly it's a pity you cut of the tree tops which appears so beautiful. Anyway still a fine posting Bev, the lush green and the nice sheeps makes it an attractive picture!
Hans

It reminds me of the roads in Cornwall - with the hedges and narrow roads. Looks lovely and green Bev, and can I see young lambs on teh field?
I would have stood a bit more to the left and cropped off the wooden fence there. The shadows do look good.
Cheers
Janice

Hello, Bev,
this is wonderful. I love the spring light and soft colors. It's particularly nice how the roadway curves and you can tell it goes up and down hill. The sheep in the field give it a very peaceful feeling. Lovely shot! Thanks so much,
Shelly

I would have used the fence and gate as the lead in Bev. Lovely colour, good detail and strong shadows. I wonder if the shadows would have been as effective had you included the tree tops? TFS,
David

Hi Bev,
Beautiful contryside landscape bathed in brilliant light. The narrow winding lane brings nice depth to this lush green bit of paradise. The scattered sheep give nice scale to this lovely scene.
Regards, Tom

This is anotehr kind of image I prefer, green, peceful, calm...for some reason I like also this moment of day when the light leaves a certain glow on things and shaddows are more prominent...Love the compo with the off-centered perspective off the road, and the beautiful presentation.
TFS!

Hi Bev,

It seems that you also enjoyed beautiful weather.
Indeed photography opens our eyes for the beauty in the tiniest of details.
I miss only 1 tiny details here and that is the top of the trees. If you would have tilted the camera upwards just one bit, then your road would have started in the corner and your trees would have nice silhouettes. Just a thought - because the sky looks nice enough with those harmless clouds in it!

HI Bev
Great composition of a country scene.
The grazing sheeps looking great with the green grass, the pov of the road perfect and the fence and shadow a good addition.
Dot

Excellent compo, framing and POV, I like this peaceful rural scene.

Hi Beverly,
lovely capture of 'ye olde English' countryside :-)
Placement of the road is very clever and adds a nice touch to the composition.

Best regards, Daniel

Hello Beverley
That's a lovely driveway and you captured it so well. The composition is very artistic and succeeded in presenting he unevenness of the landscape using that trimmed hedge to lead the eye. The perspective is perfect with the open gate in the foreground. The scenery has a very pastoral mood.

Serge
