That's a great shot Dave, in my humble opinion by gar your best portrait so far. Speaking of "fuzzing 'em up", I would have preferred a bit more sharpness in the face. The sepia works well, the subject is nicely isolated from the background and the few clean diagonals help the composition.

Love the tones and tint on this Dave,
Great portrait and shot overall,
but the processing and conversion was spot on.
