Knaresborough railway station

Knaresborough railway station serves the town of Knaresborough in North Yorkshire, England. It is located on the Harrogate Line and operated by Northern Rail who provide all passenger train services.

The station is just beyond a stone viaduct crossing the River Nidd. Beyond the platforms eastbound is a tunnel which separated the station from the goods yard (now a bus depot) and the line's major junction. The Knaresborough to Boroughbridge branch (1875-1950 for passengers, 1964 for goods[1]) diverged from the main line to York opposite the goods yard. This line continued north-east until it met the East Coast Main Line between York and Northallerton at Pilmoor.

Hi Amando
This is fantastic, you POV is perfect - capturing only the old buildings.
Regards, Leslie
ps
You might want to edit the county to Yorkshire.

I absolutely love this kind of old stations and buildings...
You know, I think it would be so nice to be here very, very early in the morning, just after sunrise, just to see how the light is at that time and to shoot some pics...

A great spot you show us here. Nice shot.

Cheers,
Anneke

Nice shot (although Knaresborough isn't in Cumbria!), it reminds me of my days going to school in York along this line. Good PoV and lighting and a nice sky. I like the note too, I love old railways and railway history.
Cheers, John.
