This is a picture of a Great Tit taken at Stover Country Park. I know it could be a little sharper but i wanted to put it on TL with out to much PPwork.

Bigger than blue tits, great tits have black and white heads, a bright yellow breast with a bold, black stripe running down it, and a green back. The black breast stripe is wider on the male. Great tits feed on seeds and scraps either left on the ground, or on bird tables and in nut feeders. In winter, family flocks of great tits are joined by blue tits, long-tailed tits and other woodland species as they search for food.

hi codge,

lovely photo of this great tit..

as u say, not as sharp as you would like, but its still a cracking image..good colours and the detail on the feathers are good..

well composed, good dof, nice blurred bg...

nice1...harry.

Hello Codge

Lovely capture here, nice sharp detail and good eye contact, maybe a little more space in front of the bird would balance the shot more, but overall an excellent post

TFS regards Helen

hi codge.
i agree with harry(unusual)it still holds a lot of detail.

Hi Codge

Nice shot here - as you said could have been sharper but we all know our feathered friends are hard to capture - they are always moving! Landscapes and buildings etc dont move!

Good colours and the subject stands out well against the blurry bg

Good shot

Cheers
Linzi

Hello Codge,

This is a great capture of the great tit!
Lovely plummage details for both colour and texture! You have also got a good reflection in the eye!

Kind regards,
Bev :-)
