Hi folks,

Thanks for all the greetings yesterday, I feel much better now, still have to catchup to go around gallery and see what everyone up to. :D Today I thought I should at least try to join the theme... just to have some fun.

This is a shot I took while we're in England last year, a church in the little town we lived. It is a beautiful architecture, standing tall and looking very handsome, even after such a long time. I just love old building like this, they are full of characters. Now come to the reason why I photograph this part of the wall; this is a stone walls (as you can see) that attached to a church, why I photograph this wall because of the clock here, I love "Sun-clock" (is that what they called it?) Anyway, I love old stuff, especially those writing, so here you go, this is my reason why I took it.

St. Dionysius, Church of England
(Built in the early 14th century)

We were welcome by the priest himself to take more photos for the church, he is so friendly and even giving us advice to which conner is the best view and sharing with us the tips from their professional photograph left behind. I love the textures, the bricks walls and the beautiful interior, the stain glass, the wood and the atmosphere is just wonderful. Here is website you can find more information and some old photos of
Market Harborough, St Dionysius Church at c1955.

Hi Sweety,
I also like old buildings. Sometimes it makes me wonder how they build such magnificent buildings when there is none modern equipent like we have now yet. Must be take an enermous efort of human being to build it :D

Very intriguing shot, my friend! I love the dual nature of it here, the upper and lower sections of the shot - windows, and sundial. Great textures and details, nice light and good colour tones.

I do like that Sun Clock Sweety. The whole wall looks so interesting. And see those bricked-in windows too - only one is glassed!! It must make it dark inside.
Thank you for sharing

Hi Sweety
Very unusual to see this type of art especially on a church wall.
You have captured really well as all the details show up very nicely.
Good shot

Hello Sweety,

It is a very interesting shot showing a wall mounted sundial. We have one in our garden but it is not wall mounted, it is on a small pedistal! They are very accurate!

I like the details showing the tonal colours created by age and, of course, the detail of the sundial.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Sweety
Old buildings are amazing, especially as they were built without modern day technology!!
Like the position of the sun-dial(clock), and its shadow. Great textures, and a really great image.

Cheers

I am with you Sweety, my folders are full of walls and part walls I took while in Scotland. The age and workmanship, which you have captured perfectly, is so beautiful and interesting. This one is unique and interesting and you tell us exactly what time it is. Well done.
Warm Regards
Wanda
