[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The mother of this foal was a flat racing mare with a long career( 130 + races, no small feat) on the track. This spring she finally got to become a mother at age 11, and this is her foal, Times. The shot was taken in the foaling barn.

As I look at this photo I think I should have cropped out the open door in the background. Any thoughts or suggestions would be welcome.

Hi Joni,
What a beautiful foal, he/she has a beautiful head. Will this baby race as well?
I like this shot and not sure you cropping it closer will make it any better.

Hi Joni,

Here are a couple of suggestions:

Better than crop the door, you could have shot from a different position not having the door in the back at all.
Also you could have lowered the camera a little, so that we are not looking down on the little guy
Then maybe you could have gotten in closer to show more of the main subject.
