A view from the Bournemouth Eye

Here a nice view from one of the nice attractions in Bournemouth, a cable guided balloon which goes up 500 feet (150 meter) and gives a fabulous view over Bournemouth and surroundings. Again great weather today, went with Silke and Roy to the beach and Silke even went in to the sea !(pictures later). BTW you also can observe the ropes which are part of the whole balloon spaghetti mess.

Now I have to hurry, dinner is on it's way. Will be back tonight to visit all the dedicated TL members visiting and critiquing my postings. Sorry to let you wait, but I couldn't resist to post this picture.

There's also a little embarrassing story. Embarrassing for me. Apparently I was the only one onboard the balloon who didn't suffered from fears of height. So after we were at cruising altitude, an amazing 500 feet I started to walk around on the fully caged platform trying to make pictures from different positions. For some reason the people were not happy with that, every time I asked: "Excuse me", to pass them they were looking very anxious and grabbed to the railing, I had no clue why’, its only 500 feet and what makes no difference with 30 feet.

When the balloon started to descent I ended up some were else on the platform than were I started, so the "captain" asked me to move over to get the balloon in balance before landing. I consider that request as a compliment.

I have a wonderful time here!

In the WS you can see the view how the balloon looks from earth at the postion I made the picture.

hahahahaha... I just can't resist this... lol... I am sure when it landed, all the passengers will be going "Whew!!! we are still alive!!!" lol... I can understand why they are like that, I won't even think of getting on to one of this. :P Not even with you... hehehehehe... cos I am scare of height! lol... "sorry.. excuse me Mr Hans... can you please balance the platform for me, so we won't all fall out?"... Well.. honestly I have to said, it is a compliment, to me it is, he could have asked someone else instead of you... but since you know how to fly a plane, you must know how to fly a balloon too. :P That's just a great story... a sweet memory for you to bring home whenever you look at this shot!

Excellent view my friend, love the details and sharpness, the colours too! very vibrant and good contrast!

Wishing you a wonderful day...

Cheers,
Sweety

Hoi Hans,

Je hebt het daar wel naar je zin zie ik! Leuk zeg zo'n ballon-reisje recht omhoog en je krijgt er wel een special viewpoint van. Leuk!

Groetjes, Dennis

Oh my! HAHA.... So you got a pic of Silke in her swimsuit?? AHA!.... really interesting...posting it for the world to see?? You better ask Silke first! HAHA! Love your balloon story! Sounds like you are having a grand time!
Can't wait to see more!

Linda

Fantastische foto Hans,

Mooi hoor. En technisch weer dik in orde.
groeten,
Joop!

Hi Hans, your floating platform offers great views, perhaps more towns surrounded by such greenery & terrific views should think in investing in a floating balloon, I know a lot of photographers who would love to use them:0
Enjoy your vacation looks like it's off to a great start.

Prachtig van compo, scherpte en scherptediepte Hans.
Kleuren ook mooi, beetje een duwtje gegeven ?

Zou willen vergelijken indien je een volledige lus
van de weg had gehad. Beter geweest ?
