[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Today, a return to simplicity... After several postings with quite a lot of post-processing and use of filters, I have decided to put something that's right out of the camera... or almost! In fact, the true reason is that I've been quite busy at work, so my time dedicated to TL is quite scarce (sigh).

So, here's one from the archives, taken last November in Notting Hill, London. I like the rich blue of the wall, but mostly the nice reflection of the window from the other side of the street, hence the title!

Hope you enjoy it!

PP Notes:
- cropped;
- adjusted so slightly the levels;
- USM;
- framed;
- went to bed.

Belle prise Pierre. Cadrage dans le cadrage dans le cadrage...Belles oppositions de couleurs. Image très nette et sobre. J'aurais aimé voir la brique une autre couleur que brune mais...
Bravo!

I like this observation, two windows in one, just genial. Just a good photograph is able to see things like this.
I would cut the bottom, maybe ! just an opinion.

I like this composition very much.
Good POV.
Colours are very good.
Well done.

WOW!!Well done.

Very good architectural shot of two views. Well spotted, and a great idea.

A clever theme Pierre and well executed. At first I thought it might be better to crop and isolate the windows only but when I tried it the shot lost the context the sign gives it. Well done!

really wonderful shot Pierre! fantastic composition and sharpness and those colours.. gorgeous! and the effect of the reflection from the building across the street is so special...

i love beautiful details on buildings like this.. and you've captured the charm of this scene so well! makes me homesick for england :-)

bravo!

Ayda

I like the sign on the bottom - it gives a "base" to the window and helps create a triangular effect. Beautiful colors and an interesting scene in the window!

Gayle

Well, for my critique I can only copy your note, Pierre ;o). Beautiful song from Dire Straits too, Portobello Road... I like it. TFS.

Très belle prise de vue Pierre. J'aime beaucoup la composition en particulier les couleurs dans le reflet. Excellent. Merci de partager.

Hello Pierre! I like everything about this photo! The colours are such lovely pastels, the clarity is excellent, the POV very imaginative. My they have clean windows! The skewed reflection really makes the eye work hard to straighten out the rest of the scene.Excellent work!

Tres belle prise Pierre, les couleurs sont superbes, tres reussie! La photo a ete bien prise car on voit tres bien la reflection de l'autre fenetre en face, tres centree, tres bien vu! Un bon oeil!
Amities
Guy

Hi Pierre,
I like your previous postings, but I prefere the apparent simplicity of this picture. Apparent, because the mirror inside the room makes this picture a little complex and enigmatic. ANyway a great shot
Regards
Paolo

very good capture, interesting subject and wonderful colours....I always appreciate a little bit of asimettry, but in this case I think that put the window in the centre should have been better...anyway really good shot
