Long time no see:)
First of all, a very creative lighting on this capture that sets apart the leaves nicely from dof. The dof, as you had mentioned in the notes is a bit distractiong...so I did a WS for an idea for you and I hope it is acceptable to you.

This is a nice and simple, unpretentious shot. I like the depth of field and the flare in the BG. It's a real nice composition. As for the dodging and burning on the computer - exactly the same principle as wet - except you can undo any over doing. Let me know if you have any questions. Kind regards, TW
