[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hello Everyone,

Today I am posting some local hawthorn flowers which, despite the recent cold weather, still opened a little early.

I wanted to give these lovely flowers a different treatment for posting. I tried different ideas, but eventually settled on a treatment which I developed once before. Having cropped and sharpened the photograph, I isolated the centre section and then texturised the outer section to give it the appearance of needlepoint or tapestry.

I hope you like it.
Please feel free to offer feedback on any aspect of the photograph. :-)

Hi Bev:
Another one of your very creative works:)
I might not have had that flat circle in the midle, but then its your work:)
In any case I like this work!
Regards & Best wishes
David

Very beautiful Bev, interesting textures here, not sure if I like the hole in the middle. I'm all for ALL texture or no texture. The texture is marvelous, just love it! So I would have done the whole thing personally, but that's just me! Twisted Sister! HA!
Nice work!

Hi Beverly,
Wonderful composition, and clarity.
Well planned exprementation and good result. But, transition zone between texturized and central areas could be soft.
Anyway great shot.

helloBev,
interesting PP work and an attractive composition. Not too sure about the pattern of the textured effect as it looks more like artex wallpaper than needlepoint canvas.Even so, it is something I may try in the future.
regards
Bev

Just enough of the texture Bev and it could indeed be needlepoint. Good colour and lovely detail in the central portion. There are still quite a few remnants of the hawthorn hedges originating from the days of the early settlers to be found down here. TFS,
David

Hi Bev Such a clever composition with a beautiful result. I did not know hawthorn had such lovely flowers."Our" Hawthorne does not - or at least I may not have noticed the flowers before. TFS I learnt a lot today!

Kind regards

Wia

Hello Beverly,
A beautiful composition. Brilliant PP work which does not effect any good details of the flowers. Nicely framed and very well presented. Love it!

Best regards,
Sharina

Wonderfully sharp and colorful main image. The very soft background highlighting the well lit and colorful foreground is beautiful indeed.
The addition of the texture works well here, I think.
