[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Taken on a day out at Wimpole Hall in Cambridgeshire.

There are two reasons why I took this shot. First, whilst I don't know the names of the flower, I love the colours. Secondly, I like the fact that it shows the lifecycle - some new flowers, some fading and some past their prime. Life isn't all new and perfect....

I added a slight vignette (darkened the corners a little) and sharpened only the focal point (the yellow flower centre right) as what's the point trying to sharpen a deliberately blurred area...? All adjustments done in CS3.

I understand why you like this shot!
The three main flowers do make a good composition and they show off well against the purple and green, blurred b/g.
The yellow flower, I think, is doronicum.

This is AMAZING!! LOVE the DOF here, the sharpness of the single flower is superb! It really stands out, thanks to your vignetting!! Really a super post Paul!
