Yellow Blue and Green
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Taken on a day out at Wimpole Hall in Cambridgeshire.
There are two reasons why I took this shot. First, whilst I don't know the names of the flower, I love the colours. Secondly, I like the fact that it shows the lifecycle - some new flowers, some fading and some past their prime. Life isn't all new and perfect....
I added a slight vignette (darkened the corners a little) and sharpened only the focal point (the yellow flower centre right) as what's the point trying to sharpen a deliberately blurred area...? All adjustments done in CS3.
Hope you like it. |

Hello Paul,
I understand why you like this shot!
The three main flowers do make a good composition and they show off well against the purple and green, blurred b/g.
The yellow flower, I think, is doronicum.
Kind regards,
Bev :-)
This is AMAZING!! LOVE the DOF here, the sharpness of the single flower is superb! It really stands out, thanks to your vignetting!! Really a super post Paul!
