Good Morning Everyone,

Today I am posting a shot which I took earlier in the month of some blue bells. Usually, I wait until the flowers are fully opened and showing lots of colour but, strangely, I really like the tightly closed buds on this flower, with just the hint of what was to follow!

Bluebells are reknown for carpeting the floors of wooded areas, in the shade of of the trees. However, these bluebells grow very successfully at the base of my rockery, with no shade at all!

Besides being blue, I have some bluebells that are white, and some that are a mixture of the two. If you find 'bluebells' that are pink, then they are Spanish bluebells.

Many thanks for stopping by.
Please feel free to offer feedback on any aspect of the photograph. :-)

Hiya Bev

This is absolutely stunning. The image itself is lovely but your PP work here is really outstanding. I love the oval shape and the darker blue line really accentuates the buds

Lovely post

TFS regards Helen

Beverley,
Nice capture of the Bluebells. The detail and colors are wonderful. I like the tight frame around the flowers. Well done.
Regards,
Kevin

Details and colors are beautiful Bev. I like the composition . The frame is spectaculor. It takes the spotlight.

Hi Bev.

My favourite flowers (....well second favourite to Blue Meconopsis) and a very unusual presentation. I like the blurred vignette but I'm not 100% vertain about the colour combination of the border. Overall a lovely shot, though.

Regards,

Paul.

Hi Bev,
Exceptional details and clarity to this beautiful macro. Very tasteful framing sends this one over the top. A lovely spring offering.
Regards, Tom

Actually, if the stems are erect and they don't nod over when they're in full bloom, then they're Spanish :)
I love the capture here -- great framing device
Superb posting

A very nice close-up of these bluebells, Bev. I like the oval frame around the plant, but the green/blue outer frame is not to my liking. Never mind, I don't like ornate frames anyway, and TL is about the pics, not about the frame. And the pic is technically flawless...

A beautiful shot and so nicely presented. You have a good eye for the composition and the pp treatment for a total success. I love the clarity, just where it should be and in just the right amount, surrounded by the oval cut-out and balanced by the blurred background. Well done!

Gorgeous work Bev! Nice details, really cool DOF and the BG is nice and smooth! And noiseless too!! Perfect!

HI Bev
Very lovely composition and framing of these beauties.
I never noticed this before but before they bloom they do look somewhat like asparagus.
Good work
