[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a picture from our final day on Arran.

It was taken during a forest walk high above Lamlash.
The hill you can see is called 'The Ross' and is approximately 311 metres high.

The walk we did was called 'Lagaville'. These trails give several short loops of different lengths along burns with lovely waterfalls and small gorges.

You pass the remains of Lagaville which was abandoned in the late 18th century. Further on you can sit beside the wildlife pond and watch the dragonflies and tadpoles.
(taken from the Forestry Commission website)

If you are going to visit Arran we recommend the Forestry Commission walks (leaflet available at Tourist Information Office next to Ferry terminal)

Cropped slightly at bottom to remove grass tufts and resized for TL. Frame added.

Thanks
Linzi

Hi Linzi
I think this is a fantastic shot, very sharp and beautifuly composed.I think the only thing I would do to this shot is add a black Gradient Fill Layer to the sky just to bring out a bit of cloud detail. I'd gladly frame this and put it on my wall
Cheers Pez

and no layers with gaussian blur were used? it's hard to believe.

perfect view and composition. although i'd darken the sky a bit to underline clouds looking like highlights at the moment.

regards,
Lena
