Hi peeps

Very late to upload today as I have been en route to my dads.

Arrived safely and just popped on to upload this shot taken in my garden a couple of days ago

As the title states or questions these are actually the blooms on the lilac tree in my garden.. although they are quite clearly white flowers not lilac so thats quite confusing.

I love the soft tones here and the innocent feel this image portrays.

Hope your all having a good weekend. I brought my camera with me but it sounds like the weather is going to be absolutley foul... guess who only packed shorts and T shirts to wear as well lol

TTFN thanks for the visit

Love Smurfie

Hi Helen,

Wow! . . Yesterday, I was thinking of submitting white rose . . but was not properly captured . . and I am redoing it now . . and I learn from this presentation that I should take one side lighting, to be able seeing highlights and shadows clearly . . and all the details are well presented . .
I may add some drops of water to show freshness . .
Great shot my dear friend..

Tfs,
TJutjut

Great shot Helen, nice white color, beautiful flower great details and sharpen, Congratullations

Hello Helen. This is just so gorgeous. So many of them and yet in so much detail I like the light and shadow captured with the flowers. Thanks for sharing and best regards. Jusni

Hi Helen

Great photo! I too like lilacs, when I was young I remember having one in our UK garden. Plenty of flowers and scent.

Indeed, the title for this tree (I think the genus is Syringa) is a misnomer as it is possible to purchase trees having either white, purple, mouve or...yes, lilac flowers.

TFS,
Martyn

Hello Helen,

I am not surprised that you mentioned innocence in your notes; my first thought when I saw this was brides, perfection and, as you say, innocence!

I love the way the flowers tumble down the shot, almost 3D. Lovely soft shades and excellent clarity.
Nicely cropped!

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hi Helen dear friend ;)
Great macro shot...nice light and shadow, TFS
Best regards,
J ;)

Hello Helen,
What I like here, is the fact that with so few compositional elements (just petals but no general flower shape), you achieve to make a photo that is interesting to look at because of its textures, colour nuances (shades) and the resulting depth of field.
To enhance this almost conceptual effect, I even would have cropped a little bit the upper and the right side, in order to show no background at all...
Creative, minimalistic work.
TFS & kind regards,
Erik

Helen:
It is difficult for me in such a wonderful gallery as yours, to pick out an image to talk about. This one I liked for two reasons: first I like the tight crop you used, and those flowers have a wonderful inner rythm, and second because I think I have never seen white lilacs, so I thank you for this great image!
Warm regards
María José
