So there I was, happily snapping away, when the true Lord of the Lens came by and chose EXACTLY the right point of view :)

There you see a man so eager to get the best shots that he almost fell off the other side of that hill just a little later on!

Who is the man? This is none other than our very own Green Baron, of course. There are some people who tiptoe through the tulips - but Hans just lies among the daisies :)

Tech: Captured in raw, converted to jpg; cloned out a small piece of white paper in the grass; cropped minimally from the left side and bottom; resized, framed and compressed for TL

Thanks for looking and have a truly wonderful weekend
In the workshop alternative version, I focused on the buildings in the BG, putting Hans out of focus. Which one do YOU prefer?

Cool idea, a picture of a picture taker of a beautiful scene all in one.
Very nice and good light, color and POV.

Hi Silke

Good shot within a shot of the illustrious greenbaron! He looks determined too. Hope you're recuperating nicely. Tfs!

Hello Silke,

Great POV wwith great colors bg pov dof excllent details very well composed and great details very well done with great POV

TFS Kyle

there is a dull due to the low contrast in PP which is not bad here, the framing is good, including the green baron at work
regards
jo

Hi Silke,
Never turn your back while someone is behind you with a camera...hahahahaha Excellent view except from the guy on the foreground spoiling the panorama :-)
Your posting is greatly appreciated my dear. We had a great time overthere!
Hans

that is a really good picture, point of view is excellent, excellent shot

Too Cute! There's always someone that manages to "walk", "waltze" in front of the lens! But I've never had this happen! This is a nice shot of everyday life of a photographer!

Glad you're back with us and recovering nicely.

Enjoy your weekend, Lisa

Ha! Hope you didn't have to try and pick him up again!

I love the POV here, and the focus on his baldy head is great, the slightly blurred townscape beyond really works well. The red bus annoys me a wee bit, but I think that's the kind of thing that wopuld be next to impossible to notice at time of shooting. This is a very enjoyable shot, Silke.

Hi Silke,

Indeed, being called a lord really makes you want to live up to your name I would think.
Is this where he hurt his hand (I think he complained that you were running up and down the hills with your cane)....
Beautiful view you got here with that added bonus of a dedicated photographer included.

TFS

Hi Silke,
As for what picture I like the best it's hard to say, in this version the attention is on the main Man Hans taking 40 winks Ooops I mean a picture in the workshop version Hans works as a good lead in to the picture, I think of the 2 it has to be this one though as it shows our friend Hans at work.
Nice capture
Regards Andy

P.S
I hope the Knee is feelong better.

Hello Silke,

Usually 'bottoms up!' means something different from this in England!!
Perhaps you need to do a little explaining to Hans, Silke! Cultural crossovers can be so embarrassing!

But what a great shot! Sharp, detailed and with good perspective!

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

good point of view Silke, now at last i saw GreenBaron as a whole, at least his back, well presented candid shot of a man in action with his lens, sharp and detailed.
regards...................andres

LOL!!!
Excellent capture.
I prefer this one over the WS giving the subject (Hans) all the attention :-).
Well done

He probably knew that if he jumped into the scene it was going to make it much more interesting!! I love this!! The buildings are really lovely, and just having him added enjoying that view is a special moment captured. TFS and have a super day!

Hi Silke (Lady of The Lens),
Wow..great candid shot here.Very nice composition and great pov.

It looks to me as a Bottom Up, Silke.
Sure Hans did get a good shot here, AND a wet pant.

Trust him to get in front of you to take the best shot. But you beat him Silke - this is a better view than the one he's taking...
Love the Tiny Tim show - what a character. I haven't heard of him for ages...
Thanks for the smiles

As you framed/cropped them differently, Silke, I can't really decide. I think I'd prefer this one, had you left Hans's bottom out of it - it serves no purpose in the picture, and you'd have avoided the wall on the left too. Anyway, I thought I knew that bottom, err backside, err, well, I recognised Hans from the thumb anyway ☺^☺.
But as said, the alternative version works nice too, and I prefer that one's compo.

Hi Silke,
Nice to see you are back! I hope you recover well!
You make me smile with this one! This pose is so familiar for many Treklensers! Hans is an excellent lead towards the old castle! I think you can enhance the neutral colors for more contrast, here, but it is a very nice scene! Bravo! Annie

PS / About the one in workshop, I don't able to say which I prefer, both are so good!

This is the real HANS.

Hello Silke

Haha a great shot ehre of the man in action. Nice POV and good DOF.

I hope you are recovering well my friend

TFS kind regards Helen

Either or image for me Silke, I do like the detail of the buildings in the workshop version. Well composed and a nice bit of PP work to cover up the shine on the head :). TFS,
David

the best shots are on the most difficult positions, so this proves true Silke. =)
