Stairs have been a challenge for me for a while, but that is changing :)

When I saw this that first afternoon at our B&B in Bath, I savoured it, knowing that it would represent a true step forward eventually.

I stored my cane in the closet last night -- I have no intention of using it again. For me this image represents my movement forward out of the darkness and back into the light.

Tech: slight colour saturation adjustment of yellows and greens; no cropping

Thanks for looking and have a happy healthy week

Hello Silke.
Very well taken and the saturising did well in it.
Hope you can do it now without the cane. Take care, Silke.

Hi Silke,
At least a very original image! Great how the two framed glass images reflect the outside nature. It's a scene often seen, but not so often pictured. Well seen and shown, clear bright and colourful. Except from the dark left stairs a well lightend photo!

Bath - that is one place I regret we didn't visit. Oh well, next time
Good news about the cane. You had a pleasant looking railing to hold onto when you climbed this staircase then.
Nice green trees outside too,
TFS and keep on getting better

Hi Silke
First off and most importantly, congratulation on eliminating the cane.
If this is any indication, you no longer have a problem with stair. Lot of well captured elements in this stair case and all perfectly captured - lighting is most impressive.

Dan

Glad to hear you feeling better :-).
Love the light here.

Hi Silke

A good downwrd pov. The title evokes the 7 dwarfs, with "hi, ho, it's off to work we go"! Perfect colour & sharpness. Tfs!

I love the light/mood here but I think I would've cropped some of the right wall (till the reflected lights)

thanks,

Speaking of composition, this is fabulous. :0)
So warm and inviting, although I can see where inviting might not have been the word for you at one point, but still.
The colors are great, the detail on the handrail even with the ouside light from the window dominating the view is a good technical effort and prize.
Nice, very nice work.
Thanks for the view,
Wilt

Hello Silke,

Thanks for the wonderful critique on my "F/T SOUND" picture...;)

That looks a nice place to stay Silke, very English.

You will soon be running up those stairs.

I like stairs that have a view when your using them.

Regards
Gil

Hi Silke,
This is a beautiful POV giving a good and warm image. The right wall is intriguing with the hanged frames on it and its bottom's corner.
I am glad to see that you recovered so well! Bravo! Annie

Some lovely detail in the image Silke. Good colour and light and impressive lines and angles. That many stairs would be no good for my lungs :). TFS,
David

Hi Silke

I hope your doing ok and progessing daily ;-)

A wonderful study here, a very beautiful POV with the turned staircase and a thought provoking image as something as simple as walking down the stairs is something that all too many of us take for granted

TFS regards Helen

A simple location and a beautiful capture of it. I wouldn't even know where to start on a shot like this and I think you've done a terrific job with it.

If I was fastidious I could point to alleged "flaws" but the big epiphany I've been having lately is that flaws in anything, not just portraits, add something to the whole. This shot is about ambience, atmosphere, feeling - and that urge to follow those stairs and out into the daylight.

An inspiring shot ... and glad to hear your good news!

Good luck Silke.
From this picture I realize that you are a strong person.
