[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
On a trip to London I was lucky to "fly the Eye" when the night slowly set in. The London Eye - as the big Ferris Wheel is called - was lit and even so was the city in the background. I had to take this shot through the curved glass of the capsule I was in. I think that is the reason why not every detail is perfectly clear.
In this picture you can see a detail of the inner part of the Ferris Wheel, lit in red by attached lights, and a part of the River Thames and the opposite shore.
For TrekLens I resized the image, intensified the shadows and contrasts slightly.

Hi Britta,
It must have been awesome to go up 'The Eye'.
I used to live in london and used to go up trhe Post Office Tower (now the Telecom Tower)
which you can see in your photo.
I think the low light level has more to do with it not being sharp than anything.
Also, the movement of the wheel could be a factor too.
An interesting image though.
Cheers
Steve

Hello Britta,
Great experience - I'd love to fly this wheel too.
If you take a closer look at the BG, some details are sharp and others are not.
I think the blurr is a combination of big aperture at low light and the fact that the curved glass may work with a lens like effect if you take photos from the inside. So - what you did is the best out of this special situation and it is realy nice to see a shot taken from inside - too many show the outside at daylight already. TFS Thomas
