Hello everyone,I didn't have time to go out looking for ideas for the theme, as I only discovered the theme this afternoon; so here is a slant on the theme from my files, once again.
If you know my gallery, you will know that I often take shots of sculptures, particularly those set in gardens and in natural surroundings.
This delightful bench plus its occupants was taken at Rufford Park in Nottinghamshire. Many photos have been taken here as people discover the elderly gent and his woolly friend.
I liked the way that the artist had managed to convey the appearance of real clothes and materials from stone; clever people sculptors don't you think?

Anyway, thanks for looking,I await your comments.

hello Jean,
good idea for this theme. Very well taken, your POV showing the bench at this angle works well. Love the sculpture too.

A wonderful idea for the theme Jean, my favourite winter woolies are made from merino wool. Nicely composed with good detail, TFS,

Hi Jean
Very good capture of this much photgraphed park bench.
I like your presentation and find that you have matched the Friday Theme very well.
Well done.
Mike

Hello Jean,

I think this sculpure is utterly amazing!
It is so lifelike! You have captured the details with great precision!
I like your pov but feel it would have been even better if you had jusr stepped a little to the left so we could have had a more angled view on a true diagonal.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Waiting for partner.

Hi Jean , nice shot of this funny sculpture, nice composition and details, i think it would have been better without any cropping on the left since the crop is very little.

Hello Jean

A superb shot here and an excellent and ideal capture for the theme. Amazing sculptures and really a well detailed image

TFS and for joining in the theme

kind regards Helen

Oh, my...the captions that come to mind:) A delightful and amusing sculpture, with fascinating and curious detail. Your POV sees it well, and the uncomplicated surroundings set the stage nicely with useful light/dark contrasts. Good shot, and it works for the theme:)

Hi Jean

Nice entry in the 'clothes' theme, with a whimsical juxtapositioning, between the sheep, & the seated man, at right. Good sharpness and colour. Tfs!

Hi Jean, gee you must have taken ages to take the photo:) at least they sat still for their portrait :) , nice texture detail

Hello Jean
I was born a few miles from here but I don't know this. Do you know anything about the reasons for the commission of the work? I suppose the artist has left just enough room for a courting couple - they might be a bit distracted though. Are there other stone benches without sculpures or is this bench an integral part of the work? In other words - was the bench there and the sculptor added the figures or was it conceived as a whole thing?
Nice work - well composed and observed
Phil

Hi Jean
Wonderful bench, beautiful photo.
best regards,
Lucja
