Good morning Peeps

I hope you all had a great weekend. Lovely bright sunshine this morning to return to the office :-)

I can't complain though as I had a very productive weekend in the garden and in addition I managed to get out and about with the rebel to get some new images.

Saturday afternoon I visited my friend Gina and of course the rebel came along for the ride. I managed to get a good few shots in her garden so I will post some over the next few days.

I have posted this image of the bee for Bev TL member Glint as we were having a chat on Saturday about the best way of shooting bees. I hope you like this one Bev.

No Zoom here I was right up close and personal but strangely enough I was not nervous somehow I thought the lens and the camera was a big enough barrier between the bee and I. I know a bee will only sting once and that will be in self defence not malice, in addition to this in order to sting me it would have to lose its life... however had this been a wasp.. well to be honest there would be no capture as I dislike them intently and wouldnt waste my shutter button on the nasty little critters lol.

Image framed in photofiltre.

Must get on now, its Monday Morning and the desk is loaded with work :-(

TTFN kind regards Smurfie

Very nice fur coat this guy has! Superb posting Helen, I like the upside down view of him, really sharp, excellent work on this! He is so fuzzy, I could almost pet him....NOT!

Hi, Helen -
This bee portrait is quite amazing. The finest details of the bee's hair and body are sharp and clear. Vibrant colors, well composed with half the frame devoted to space. Nice one!

Hello Helen!
Perfect focus on the bumble bee and great colours in your picture!
Nice point of view!
Best regards!
Lili

Hi Helen,
I've taken many, many photos of bees and was never attacked by any of them. They seem to be simply minding their own business. I have, however, been attacked and actually stung, by wasps while shooting them. They, on the other hand, like soldiers, react instantly!

Your photo is beautiful and the colors are really lovely.
Magnificent sharpness, detail and DOF.

The best way to shoot a bee would be... very fast, Helen!
Excellent compo, I like the colourful left part and the almost empty right part. Bee and flower form a nice couple, my compliments for the excellent sharpness in a shallow DoF.
