[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
One of the things that Roy complains about when he goes through the photos I took on our vacation is that I don’t take enough pictures that simply show where we have been. This is one such shot.

Thanks to Pierre and Joni for suggesting that this is a white variety of "Bleeding Heart." It was taken on Roy's brother's garden and I had forgotten to ask what it was while we were staying with him.

Tech: taken in raw, adjusted levels and colour saturation, converted, increased luminance and hue in image adjustments

Thanks for looking and have a beautiful, light-filled week

Beautiful shot here Silke! I love the framing here, it really makes the flower stand out! I have no idea what this flower is, but I sure want one! Excellent greens in this one!

Hi Silke,
A very nice 'portrait' of this do-not-eat flower.
Good capture with a nice DOF; the background is nicely blurred out. The presentation is superb in this frame with the correct font.
Good exposure too.
greetings,
Joop!

I think this a white variety of bleeding hearts.
Excellent capture.
Good sharpness and details.

A touch of the season presented artistically, just great !

Iso.

Hello Silke,
This flower looks to me to be a bleeding heart, although of an unusual colour. They are normally white or deep pink. This one may be a hybrid, and looks close to having finished flowering, which may account for its unusual look.
A marvellous shot with the flower standing out so well from the green background and the soft colours enhanced by the side lighting. Wonderful presentation with the framing.
TFS,Joni

Excellent detail to remember a place Silke.
Love the verticle treatment here. Great frame and presentation.
Well done. - Vincent

Hi Silke
I have this same type of "bleeding heart" but in pink in my garden.. I was beginning to think it was a weed! Happy to see your white version..
Wonderful placement.. and control of the whites...

Same here everyone wonders where they are in our vacation photos... ;)

Tricia

Silke,
I do like the composition and DOF
but I must say that the lightning is rather dull
The flowers almost disappear in the whole photo.
IMO, you should enhance their brightness
so they pop-up
Or some other " trick "

I don't know this flower at all Silke. The flowers aren't very attractive so perhaps I've ignored it if I did see one :)
The light is catching it well here, and the green BG makes the creams shine even more.

I will bow to Pierre's knowledge Silke, I thought it may have been an immature Columbine. Nicely focused, good colour and a lovely light.

Some burnt out on the flowers are clearly seen here Silke.

Hello Silke,

This is a fine macro shot where the great light really makes the subject stand out!
Well exposed in the bright parts, and the flower is nicely isolated from the back...

Greetings,
Pablo -
