Hi Bev,
Great image, well exposed, is this the Red Lion pub in Haweshead?
Yes, the windows are really continental looking and great that there are three of them.

Are you back teaching? A wonderful part of the world you live in Bev, historical wise. Good colour and detail and well composed.
David
hello Bev,
an interesting contribution to the theme, especially for me. It's the Red Lion hotel, isn't it? My husband and I together with his sister and her husband stayed at this hotel to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We had been married one week apart in 1972. We slept in a bedroom under the eaves, with jackdaws and could hear jackdaws pacing about on the slates above our heads.

Hiya Bev
OO this is lovely, like a fairy tale view :-), nicely composed and well balanced, you handled all the white balance superbly too.
TFS and for joining in the theme
regards Helen
P.S. take it easy my friend, RSI is not nice and needs to be respected.

Only one nit-pick from me, Bev, and it's not about a technical aspect of the photo, but about the house: the antenna should go LOL. I like the shadow of the other building we see, and one thing is for sure: so far you've captured the most windows in one shot ;o).

I tried until midnight to access TL, and gave up in the end.
So this is where Beatrix Potter lived and wrote her stories and drew her paintings. I loved seeing all your historical buildings when we were over there.
Good one Bev, and I hope that RSI heals up soon. . . That's not s good thing to get!
Cheers
Janice

I really like the shadows and contrasts here Bev. I like the way the age of the dormers show and how wonderful to think that Potter did indeed get inspiration from this lovley place. Excellent.
Warm Regards
Wanda
I have the same affliction you have ;)

HI Bev
You composition has captured so many details, the roughness of the white stucco, the patching around the windows, the wear and tear on the roof tops and that opened window shows signs of time.
Great shot.

Hi Bev,
You have captured these lovely old windows in generous light that bring out all their fine 19th century details.
The cloudless blue sky makes the perfect backdrop for this whitewashed beauty. Love the red dragon and lovely lamp.

Neat addition to the theme, cute as a drawing by Beatrix Potter.

Hi Bev,
Yes I tried several times that day to access TL.
Be careful with that RSI - do you have physio therapie - probably no time for that - -.
I totally get the feeling we have to visit England, with a bit of luck Ad will have more time at his hands, so maybe next year. Then I can enjoy looking at houses like these, with lovely details like the -you call it- rainsplashes over the roofwindows.
Very nice addition for the theme.

Hi Beverley,
Nice well exposed shot of this old building, so full of character.
I like the old chimney pots, the texture of the slate roof, and of course, the windows.
Cheers,
Pete.

Hi Bev
Thanks for sharing this delightful image. These windows must for sure tell many stories and your assumption that Beatrix Potter may have gazed throught them is possibly not far off either.
A very good image the TV antenna on the roof almost looks out of place with the nice old time "feel" of this shot.
Kind regards and all the best with the hard work at the end of term..
Wia
