Good morning Peeps

This mornings capture was taken at the end of my garden (haha there is a first).

Last Autumn my neighbours cut the top of this old plum tree away as it was fairly diseased. It has made the perfect viewing post for the local birds to stop and view thier territories. Of course this is excellent for me as its the perfect setting to capture them too.

No PP work here aside from framing..yes I even left the DoDos there to keep it natural.

I liked this POV as his head is turned to have a good look around the area.

Thanks for taking the time to visit, I hope you all had a good weekend

TTFN kind regards Smurfie

Good composition, slightly too much sharpening (see the white ghosting around the bird.
Taking out the dust on the lens at 3 o'clock on the blue background would have been advisable.
Colours of the bird are almost true.
Well done!
Hope you find this critique helpful, it is meant to be. Too much backslapping on this site, it is best to tell as one sees it!

Olá Helen,
Beatiful, beautiful, beautiful!
Great presentation.
Cheers
Raimundo

your are right!

it seems that the bird is doing an aerial surveillance. but it seems also that she is under your surveillance....:)

Reminds me of Rin-TinTin This is very nice Helen, the ONLY thing I see is the spot to the right of the bird, over against the edge. A spec of dirt? perhaps a little bird dropping? B-)... Other than that it's perfect!

Hello Helen,

I have been taking bird shots to!
It can be very frustrating as well as entertaining. You find yourself muttering "Will you just stand still!"

The composition of this is excellent, as are the colours. I think the focus is just a weeny bit sharper on the tree than the bird. Still, I like the whole very much.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)
