hi bev.
nice image.
the cow is very inquisitive.
it is also a lie when they tell you to let a cow lick your head to make your hair grow. i tried this but all i got was ring worm.
unusual to find foxgloves near cows as they are poisonous.
we dont allow them where i am.

Nice bit of bovine imagery.. good eye contact!! strange fact though, if a load of cows/cattle start to chase you in a field, just lie down and they will stop and stand around you...

Hello, Bev.
Is this not "Ferdinand the Bull"? Don't you remember the story of the bull called Ferdinand who was at a Spanish bullfight - they let him out to chase the matador but good old Ferdinand just went around sniffing all the lovely flowers which the ladies (admirers of the matador) had thrown into the bullring. Nice soppy story anway.
A nice picture though, with good sharp details in the animal and the foxglove.
Although foxgloves (Digitalis purpurea) are poisonous, they do contain digitalis which has, in small quantities, a beneficial effect on the function of the heart. Indeed, in the days before more modern production of digoxin, people were given "foxglove tea" for the treatment of heart failure. Another bit of useless information, of which my old brain is a fund.
Best Wishes,
John.

Hi, Bev,
this is so cute! What an odd expression the cow has - like, "Ahhh, this is sooo nice.." LOL.. Great cropping, nice sharp detail, excellent color and bokeh. Thanks for the smile! Take good care,
Shelly
the cattle actually really like eating these flowers and they are terribly dangerous! Foxgloves contain digitalis - used in heart medicine, but overdosing is easily done and eating these plants will kill the cattle !
But I love the composition and the title -- great details
