Hedera Helix - English Ivy
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
English Ivy (Hedera Helix). The name comes from the Greek meaning "Twist, Turn". It is a climbing plant reaching to 20-30m depending on the surface it grows on. It is commonly cultivated as a garden/ornamental plant and can be found in many gardens, or growing up the side of houses giving them character.
This Ivy was found growing on a tree, next to a river that flows near my home.
Slightly sharpened, and resized for the web. Shot with the 350d and a +2 Macro lens thingy.

Hello Graham
A very pleasant shot. Nice colours, very good details and sharpness. Perhaps some more sturation of the leaves would help them stand out better? Good work, congratulations!
