Hello there

Welcome to the world of the smurf,a world where everything is so tiny, life is so busy that this little world seems constantly upside down!

Hiya peeps, don't worry I haven't quite lost the plot.. close though lol.

This past weekend the weather was absolutely disgusting here constant rain and wind although it was not cold.. Undetered Smurfie went forth with her camera into the garden determind to get some new material.

So for the rest of this week its rain, rain and more rain from Smurfies world.

Here you can see my minature and upside down house. shot on the leaf of a pot plant on the patio.

I hope your all having a good week. Although I have complained about the weather this weekend it is really glorious here today.

I took two very similar shots so will add the other to workshop as I really struggled with my Smurfie brain cell to choose which one to post.

Have a great day peeps

TTFN luv Smufie

Doh I just put the other one in workshop and I actually think that one is better.. oh well never mind :-)

Outstanding macro, Helen. You have a beautiful world contained in these droplets. Delicate, lovely and fresh natural atmosphere, and the colors of the inverted reflection are vibrant. I'm coming to your neighborhood this weekend (well, to Canterbury, anyway) so maybe you could arrange some nicer weather?

Hi Helen
Outstanding work here.Congrats!!!
Friendly greetings

Very clever capture Helen. I think this one is sharper than the WS image, but I would have cropped off the extra bubbles on the left.

Still both are so interesting to see - quite amazing how they work like that. What lens do you use?

Cheers
Janice

Hi Hellen,

Excellent shot, great details. Its my today's favorite. Thank you for the full description.

Sara

Hi Helen,

An absolute amazing job - love you little upside down world - feels very welcoming!
Those braincells had already been working great when making the picture - so you did not need them for chosing at all; it's a beauty.

Chuckle...love the nose-to-subject POV to catch the fascinating reflections in the water drops. I think I prefer this shot to the workshop one, simply because the spider web strand becomes more distracting in the other composition. Well done!

hi helen,

interesting photo, looks good..

excellent details and colours...orginal pov...

very nice1...

cheers...harry

Hello Helen,

Hi Smurfie,
You certainly know how to make the most of a raindrop, nice details of the upside down Smurf world.
Well done
Regards Andy

Seen a lot of attempts at this type of shot that quite simply fail - and I've failed at a few myself. This is an excellent example of how it should be done, really very good indeed and I am extremely envious!
